For my 100th post I’m re-posting my collage The Children Are Our Future and the Future is Not Human because I think it’s really representative of who I am as an artist. I’m definitely a tumblr novice but I really do try to produce a quality blog that is (hopefully) interesting enough as an art blog. Thank you to everyone who follows me I love you all!
“SuperFutureHero” Mixed media on paper. 8” Going through my past collages for inspiration now that I have a new commission to work on!
There are three of my historical collages on canvas. I’m really inspired by historical events. I want to do another series of historical collages soon. I found my recent early modern Europe/Ottoman Empire class to be a great source of ideas due to my 20+ Arabesque drawing series :)

Collage and oil paint on canvas. 11”x14”. Original Eva Bertoglio.
One of my favorite early collages, called The Children are Our Future and the Future is Not Human. I was inspired by faeries and science fiction. There’s a great short story by Francesca Lia Block that I read a couple years after I made the piece that I think relates a lot called Changelings from her book Blood Roses.
